The first time I have done photos for someone who wasn’t a band or some sort of event, and his first corset piercing. More later.

So I went to a show last night and decided to do photos just for the fun of it. The place had terrible lighting so I tried my hardest to edit them into something usable. Next time I’ll have to bring a better flash and a different lens. Oh well. Here are four okay shots.

I’ve had a great time at the beach while it has lasted but now, alas, I have to go back to Tampa and do a large amount of homework.

I’m back in my old groove… kind of. Summer classes have started at USF and I have pretty much unpacked my last box of stuff. I’m really looking foreword to summer semester since I am taking a slue of interesting courses. And since I am back in my original home land I plan on taking a lot more photos than I have been.

Here are the last things I took photos of.

A new bill passed, SB 1246: Farms, in Florida that makes it illegal to take photography of any farm or place where legitimate agriculture is taking place WITHOUT the owners consent. To be more specific, a felony in the first degree.

So, I’m sorry if this offends farmers or something but… IS THAT A JOKE?! It’s not like I have a habit of photographing working farms, personally my eye goes to those oh so popular decrepit barbed wire and burnt out farm houses before it goes to an actual working one, but still… really? That just seems like a waste of time to try to pass and enforce. Aren’t there a billion and one other things that Jim Norman could have been paying attention too? Maybe he could have been trying to fix the havoc Rick Scott is causing on all of Florida, the budge, the job growth, the fact that he wants state worked to contribute 5% of their retirement plans. Oh how about the school budget? Maybe that could have been a good use of your time before you passed a bill making it a felony to take photographs of a farm.

Or Not

I realized that I had to do laundry before Spring break and I had so much more philosophy studying then I realized so I didn’t go to All Asia.

Good Luck Rubber Fuzz!

All Asia Tonight!

Posted: March 7, 2011 in Band, Rubber Fuzz

Rubber Fuzz is having their kind of first real show tonight at All Asia! I’ll be there, possibly if I finish studying for my Philosophy midterm, to take some pictures and hopefully post them up here before mid-night. So YAY for Rubber Fuzz.

I was scrolling through some of my favorite images I’ve taken and others have taken and I’ve noticed that I am very partial to black and white photos. Almost all of my favorites are black and white, or close to it.

Another my dad took it, I think he used the Ansel Adams approach on it.

I love this photo in black and white, I saw it in color and to me it just wasn’t as powerful. The grain did not look this awesome in color.  I also seem to be partial to photos that might not be black and white but there are silhouettes against plain-ish color backgrounds.

I took this one at Clearwater Beach.

I just find it weird that I like my photos black and white and I like my hair, nails, shoes, and tights bright colors. Am I an anomaly or what?

Some Mandelbrot?

Take a look at the Mandelbrot images. They entertain my mind.
